My wife Risa and I have five children. Along with our church and community involvement, they more than fill up our time. Despite the busyness, what motivates me to run is the sense that political division has strained our bonds to the point many doubt the stability and success of the American experiment of self-government. Broken economics are making it difficult for the next generation to launch into buying homes and starting families. Possible AI job displacement creates an uncertain future.

But We the People are not giving up hope! Our strength as a state and as a nation must be restored from the bottom up. Too many have been convinced that they have more in common with the leaders of their political parties than they do with their neighbor across the street. I hope to put forth fresh ideas, hear more from you, refine those ideas together and carry them forward to the Minnesota Legislature representing the people of Woodbury and Maplewood.

Our country is facing major challenges of a $40 Trillion debt, war, and a national political environment that seems to primarily respond to big money interests no matter which party is in power. We the People (or should I say We the Humans) cannot wait for political saviors at the national level. We need to take solutions into our own hands to strengthen our families, communities, local businesses, and other institutions preparing for what may be difficult times ahead.
Instead of rehashing the same points of argument that have lasted more than a generation, let’s work together and bring a fresh vision to the Capitol. My goal is to use this campaign to promote the new solutions that generate from all of us.
